Blog Post 5

The new advancements in technology have been a new way for both parties to get there policies across the country. Especially to the youth, the technology has given them chances to re-watch debates, and read what is going on each day in the election. Overall. Technology brought this election to a whole new level from short blog’s about each candidates debates, or quick facts about each of them. The global perception of the result of the 2008 election has had a worldwide effect on the global nation. In Kenya, they have designated a national holiday to him. Also foreign leaders across the globe are being forced to reconsider their actions because of Obama’s plans to meet with many foreign leaders, foreign leaders that George Bush denied meetings with. The election of Obama has not only been a nation wide change, but a worldwide change, some people are looking forward to that, and others not so much.

After reading the blog that I am following, I decided to respond to one of the post saying whether or not John McCain is prolife or not. Throughout the entry there are many valid points that he is, and in other circumstances, there are many points where he is not. For some of his decision like abortion, in one meeting he will say one thing, and in the next debate he will say another. After comparing all the facts, the blog entry said that this was not a good quality to keep second guessing yourself. I agree in that if you are going to be the president of the United States of America you need o be able to say what you believe in and stick to that.

Blog Post Three

1 the blog i read, titles John McCain Pro Life? What a Joke, talked about how John McCain came out saying that he was prolife and that he did want to change things such as ideas of abortion. throughout the article they talk about how if he wanted something to be done, he would be working on it, but since there is not much effort being put in to the process, it could just be a way to grab the attention of voters.

2 this blog is different from mine
because it holds a lot more information in it, it also provides links and other useful tools such as a video. this blog has quotes and has has had more time put into it then mine.

3 they talk about how McCain talks about being
pro life. i agree partially with that, but i feel it should not become a law, because to me, it is a families baby, not the governments baby so it should be there decision what happens and not the government.

Dumbest Generation

"According to recent reports, most young people in the United States do not read literature, visit museums, or vote." according to the article, not going to museums, or voting, makes our generation dumber. also, just because we don't read literature, that does not make us dumb. our access to the internet, and other electronically advanced equipment allows us to visit museums virtually, and read literature online, and also read current, up to date information. the internet has done the complete opposite to our generation. it gives us useful information and keeps us up-to-date with current issues, and even our social lives. being able to talk to someone at the touch of a button is a very powerful and positive advancement to our generation.
